About
One of the hardest things I've lost is my voice. For most of my life, I was given the message that my thoughts, my ideas, my opinions, my interests, my way of being - all of it was wrong. So I kept it all to myself. I hid myself. I stayed silent.
My experience is far from unique. How many of you have forced yourselves to be small? How many of you have kept yourselves quiet? How many of you have hid behind your own masks? How many of you want something different?
Well, here it is. Each week, we come together to take back our voices. We share and listen to personal stories that come from internal truth, not from the what we've been told is normal, right, or appropriate. This is a safe space to connect to what is real, no matter what that looks like. Bring your joy, your pain, your hopes, your dread, or whatever you got cooking. It's all welcome.
Each month we connect with a different theme, and each week we reflect on a topic related to that theme - though you can also share any story that feels resonant to you that evening (or save it for the last week of each month, when anything goes).
This month the theme is:
This week the topic related to that theme is:
If you'd like to share, please say so when you register. People will have the floor in the order in which they submitted their request. If after those people share there is still more time, then others can share too.
